I'm opening a Word document that has a date that automatically updates. Is it
possible to change the current date that displays back to the date the

The SAVEDATE field will display the date upon which the document was last
saved while the CREATEDATE field will display the date upon which it was
originally created.

You can edit the DATE field to make it SAVEDATE or CREATEDATE. See
