Using Word 97-SR-2
I inserted a TOC in my document and updated it with the current page numbers, which are correct. When I save the document, close it and re-open it, all of the page numbers are 0. I can update them again, but each time I save and re-open, they are back to 0. |

I don't have any graphics in this document, what that article was referring
to. I have determined the problem seems specific to Word 97. If I open the same doc in Word 2003, the page numbers are retained correctly when I save and re-open. If I then re-open it in Word 97, they are OK if I save and re-open until I update them again. Once I Update them in Word, then save and re-open, they go back to 0. "Suzanne S. I have a similar problem. When I have a TOC, it shows the correct page number
when I save it. Then I forward the document to someone (like my boss!) and all the page numbers have changed to 2's. I can forward it to other people and they see the correct page numbers displayed. Is there a setting on his machine that needs to be changed? "Mike Miller" wrote: I don't have any graphics in this document, what that article was referring to.
