Here's a solution to a vexing problem for which I wasn't able to find
this answer in this group (at least not in the time I spent searching). Hope this it helpful to someone. PROBLEM The document containing INCLUDEPICTURE merge fields does not update the pictures, but instead displays the same image on every page. Using Ctrl-A -- F9 to update fields does not update the pictures or fields. SOLUTION Save the file first. Then use Ctrl-A - F9 to update all the INCLUDEPICTURE merge fields, and all the pictures will be updated. DISCUSSION In this particular case, the document was generated from a Directory document type, via the Merge to New Document command. The resulting document had the name Directory1, but had not yet been saved to disk. Saving it to disk and then operating on the saved file resulted in the displayed pictures being updated. The include file name included a relative path, forward slashes, and the whole string was quoted: {INCLUDEPICTURE "../../My Pictures/LSZprints/LSZ088.JPG"} -- Roy Zider Other key words and phrases: Microsoft Office Word 2003 SP2 mailperge and INCLUDEPICTURE problem problem updating INCLUDEPICTURE picture fields same picture displays on every page using INCLUDEPICTURE mergefield |
