Default File Location Problem

We have server1 where we have a folder setup on the U drive for every
employee. We have Word setup for the documents to default to this U drive
folder.

Well we had to change the name of server1 to server2. Since doing this we're
having all kinds of connectivity problems with Word. Documents are taking
forever to open because the default location is still showing the server1
location.

We can go in and chance the location to the server2 for each user but we
have over 400 users.

Does anyone know of a way to do this by workstation instead of each user?

Thanks for the help,

Paul

Note that you have posted to the ultimate end user discussion group. You may
get more informed responses if you post to, say,
microsoft.public.word.setup.networking or microsoft.public.office.setup.

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=830561 "Documents that have
attached templates take a long time to open in Word 2002 and in Word 2003".
