Open the header. Insert a field with the code
FILENAME \p In previous Word versions this field was a standard AutoText entry, but somebody at Microsoft apparently thought it wasn't needed any more (or just forgot). You can make it into an AutoText entry for yourself. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. Jay,
I can't seem to make that work. I typed it in the text field offered when I opened the header. It just stayed exactly what I typed. "Jay Freedman" wrote: Open the header.
