I am using MS Office 2007 and I am having problem with Word 2007.

1) When I close out Word it gives me an error message "Microsoft Word has
stopped working", reopens and then I go through the same sequence again when
I close it out. It closes out entirely the second time but gives me the
error message.

2) When I start working in a docment and want to highlight something or
place my mouse somewhere in the document, it does not allow me to do so.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling MS Office with another version and I
get the same problem. Any suggestions? Thanks.
