Hi ?B?QmlsbCBDb3Ju?=,
In Word 2007 I have a document where the accept button is disabled and the document is not protected Word documents don't have Accept buttons by default. Nor are they usually protected. Can you be more specific about the circumstances, and why you'd expect to have these things? Cindy:
Thanks for your response. I am using Word 2007. On the review ribbon by default there is an accept button and a protect document button. I have one document where the accept button is disabled and I do not know why. I got around the problem by copying the document and pasting it into a new document. This however is not a good solution as I lost all revision marks. Hi Bill,
Sorry about the late response. A number of holidays and illness kept me out of the newsgroups for a while... I am using Word 2007. On the review ribbon by default there is an accept button and a protect document button. I have one document where the accept button is disabled and I do not know why. I got around the problem by copying the document and pasting it into a new document. This however is not a good solution as I lost all revision marks. This can happen if the document is slightly damaged. Most often, I've seen it (in earlier versions of Word) when the document had been edited in more than one version. Sometimes, selecting entire paragraphs enabled the buttons... You should be able to copy/paste with the reviewing marks if "Track changes" is active in the original document, but off in the target document.
