I'm using Word 2007 on a non-networked machine running Win XP Pro. My
user templates are stored in a Templates folder under My Documents. I had set this location previously, but I suspect one of the Office Updates has reset the folder to the default location. When I try to fix this, the "File Locations" button under Word Options|Advanced| General is grayed out, so I can't reassign the file locations. Does anyone know what I need to do to wake up this function? |

Hi Copwriter,
I'm using Word 2007 on a non-networked machine running Win XP Pro. My user templates are stored in a Templates folder under My Documents. I had set this location previously, but I suspect one of the Office Updates has reset the folder to the default location. When I try to fix this, the "File Locations" button under Word Options|Advanced| General is grayed out, so I can't reassign the file locations. Does anyone know what I need to do to wake up this function? You might try under Word Options/Resources running the Microsoft Office diagnostics. That might "kick it loose"?
