Hi there,
When I highlight and BOLD times New Roman in Word2003 the entire highlighted section turns into all caps with condensed overlapping letters. Does anyone have any idea what is the cause of this? It does not appear to affect other fonts and my default font is Times. Many thanks for your help Cheers Pree |

It sounds as though the bold version of your Times New Roman font is missing
or corrupt. You should be able to restore it from your Word or Windows disc. The filename is TIMESBD.TTF. The remainder of the TNR set would be TIMES.TTF(normal), TIMESBI.TTF (bold italic) and TIMESI.TTF (Italic). Check whether the latter two work also before digging out those discs. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Pree wrote: Hi there, When I highlight and BOLD times New Roman in Word2003 the entire highlighted section turns into all caps with condensed overlapping letters.
