Default Removing footnotes

How is it possible to remove footnotes?

Also, on the tab there's an option to insert a new endnote (end of
document), whilst I'm not sure how to insert a footnote at the end of the
page.

Default Removing footnotes

Delete the footnote reference in the text, the superscript character - not
the footnote at the bottom of the page, and it will be deleted.

I'm not sure if I understand your second question? An endnote appears at the
end of the document and a footnote appears at the bottom of the page you
inserted it on. Does that help??
