I have a hidden folder (called Store) that holds all our company's Word
templates. Many of these templates contain fields that utilize the
Macrobutton feature followed by NOMACRO and then text that prompts the user
what to type in that space. Users access these templates via links
(shortcuts) in other folders (called Templates, Letters, etc.). This enables
me to update all templates quickly and easily by updating everything in the
Store folder. My problem is this. At least one of these templates is stored
as an unprotected template. However, when users double-click on the shortcut
that links to this template, it opens a new document (based on that template,
of course) that is PROTECTED. There is no password on it. They can unprotect
it and proceed, but I would like to know why this thing is opening as a
protected document. Any ideas?
