Default Additional Text Printing Out

When printing a document in Word there is additional text (not shown on
screen)printing, sometimes many pages worth of things like:

and on and on and on. I've looked in the Options Dialog Box under Print for
things like Document properties, Field codes, and Hidden text but that
doesn't solve anything. Any clues?

Are you sure this isn't visible in the document? It appears as though the
document is being opened in the "Recover Text from Any File" format. Check
your Open dialog box and the Files of Type list. Make sure it's set to Word
Documents.

That sounds as though at one point the document was "recovered from
text". Press CTRL+SHIFT+8 and see if you can find that hidden text.
