Hello, everybody:
I have a word document with about 1,000 rows and 10 columns accessing over a 100Mb network. When the user begins entering into the next cells, 1001 +, it's extremely slow. One solutions I've come up with is to create a "part 2" word document, which seems to work, but is this normal to start seeing access slow down after 1,000 cells? The user is using Word 2000 PRO. Thanks, --TJ |

Yes, it's normal. Word really doesn't like large tables, and Word 2000
was worse about it than more recent versions. See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFl...FastTables.htm for some suggestions, but the main tip is to break that huge table into lots of smaller ones.
