Default Can an index be printed separately from a document?

I am working on a long document. I would like to print out the index
separately from the text. I cannot insert it after the endnotes in the
document or print it out separately. How can I do both?

See here for location:

6. Text After Endnotes

You ought to be able to print just the part of the document that has the
index, but with a multi-section document, it can be complicated. See the
Help topic "Print specific pages and sections". If the index is in its
own section, it may be a bit simpler.

You can also copy/paste just the index into a separate document, unlink it
(Ctrl+Shift+F9) and then print, but if all you want to do is print it, then
printing the sections it occupies will do the trick.
