Default How do I convert Word from RGB to black colour?

I am completing a book that will be converted from Word to pdf files for
publishing. The printers tell me that Word is set up with RGB as "the colour"
and that I should change it to black. How can I do this please? I am using a
version of Word that came with my Office 2000 suite.

On the face of it, what you say doesn't make sense, but it may be that the
printers are telling you to convert your images to grayscale.

Hi Suzanne: If my printers, in fact, were trying to tell me to convert to
grayscale, can you please advise how this can be done. Thanks.

When you click on a picture, the Picture toolbar is displayed. One of the
buttons is for Color, which opens a menu, one item of which is Grayscale.

Thanks Suzanne. I have been asked to change the complete manuscript - all
text, not just photos - to black (or gray scale), so not sure if what you
suggest will cover everything, but I'll give it a try. Appreciate your help.
Cheers.

If you are using colored text, you'll need to change it to black or a shade
of gray. The easiest way to do this is to modify the style.

You do believe in brevity, I must say. If the easiest way is to modify the
style, could you please indicate how that might be done. Sorry to be a
nuisance, but your answers tend to take me part way and then leave the ending
unrevealed. [You have potential as a mystery writer.] Any further explanation
that you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks.

See http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styl...ifyAStyle.html. But since we
have yet to establish what your printer really means, or in what format you
intend to give him the document, I have no confidence that you are even
heading in the right direction.

Hi Suzanne,
First chance I have had to read your latest response. Thanks for the
referral to the "modify style" information. It looks useful for future
reference, even if it doesn't resolve the immediate problem which, as you
suggest, is not very well defined. Anyway, I appreciate you staying with me
through this series of exchanges and will now proceed with what I have.
Thanks again.
