Default Multiple Users Editing Word Docs using 2007

Hi All

Just wondering is there any possible way that several users could access a
Word 2007 file and edit the file at the same time like you can in Excel by
Sharing the Workbook??

Or is there any other add-ons etc.. that could be used as an alternative?

Thanks
Ailish

Word files are not intended to provide simultaneous access by multiple
users. I've seen reference to network doc management software that enables
the capability, but I've also heard that it can cause complications. Haven't
used it myself, so I can't say for sure.

Hello!
What software do you recommend purchasing to be able to share a word
document so that more than one person can have it open at the same time to
make updates?

Many people read the queries every day.

If you haven't had a reply in a week, it probably means that there's
nothing remotely resembling what you're looking for.

The questions are checked constantly, around the clock, by a variety of
fellow users. The forum is concerned with Word which as Bob Jones pointed
out does not provide the function you require. Individual users may suggest
third party software that know will provide what you require and with which
they are familiar, but as no-one has suggested such software, it would seem
no-one is willing or able to make a recommendation. Start with your
favourite search engine.

First you must recognise that support in these forums is provided by your
peers. Due to the fact that people all over the world contribute to these
newsgroups, it's quite likely that there is always someone, somewhere
accessing the newsgroups.

And finally, you need to accept that sometimes the things that you want to
do are just not possible. Your present issue is one of those.

Hope this helps.

Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my
services on a paid consulting basis.
