I have a need to create a table in word that has a text box in it. I need
that text box to have unlimited number of characters. I also need the column width to stay the same. Should a person type and hit the end of the column, I want the text to drop to the next line and the row height changes, not the column width. Can anybody help me with this. I have Word 2000. thanks |

Click in the table. Then select Table Table Properties Table tab
Options and turn off "Automatically resize to fit contents". Click OK twice. In Word 2003, this can also be carried out by selecting Table Autofit Fixed Column Width. I don't remember whether this is possible in Word 2000. -- Regards Lene Fredborg DocTools - Denmark www.thedoctools.com Document automation - add-ins, macros and templates for Microsoft Word "Lord Dark Helmet" wrote: I have a need to create a table in word that has a text box in it.
