I have tried everything to get rid of it and I can't! It also tries to save
the file (Normal) When I close Word but gives me another error message saying

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the Office
Plugin that comes with it (but don't disable Norton AutoProtect). See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329820 "How to use Office programs
with the Norton AntiVirus Office plug-in" for more information.

You can also close word and find & delete the normal.dot file. It will be
recreated clean when you reopen word.

This is not a good idea - ALWAYS RENAME the normal template to retain access
to the many configurations it may contain. In any case it probably won't fix
the problem - see http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm
with relation to orpahn temporary files.
