Default Copy with Format from word document saved as a pdf file

We are trying to solve a problem with saving a MS Word file (2007) in a pdf
format where one can copy the text within the pdf document and retain the
original text formatting. I added the plugin to word and could save it but
when you try to use 'copy with format' within Adobe and try to paste it into
the AutoCAD file the format disappears. It is my understanding that the
plugin is a Microsoft add on to MS Word. We need to copy the formatted text
into an AutoCad drawing. The system worked very well on the old MS Word
(2003?) but fails on the new Word document. It is necessary to keep the
format to avoid spending hours reformatting the text. The procedure goes
from MS Word (RTF Format)=Save As pdf=highlight pdf text and 'Copy with
Format'=paste into AutoCAD drawing. Formatting is critical since we are
copying specifications. Any suggestions? Copying with RTF directly into the
AutoCAD drawing does not work very well. Portions of the formatting
disappears when trying to go through this route. My best guess is that the
plugin is not up to date with the new version of word.
