For some reason, whenever I press shift with keys on my keyboard, all these
diacritics come up such as é. Even when I press shift and e, no ctrl or
anything else. Did I activate something on my word document that I shouldn't
have? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

My guess would be that you've changed your keyboard language.

I checked and it still says my language is English (Canadian). Any other
suggestions as to why this is happening? Thanks!

Never mind, I figured out what it was. I just had to press ctrl shift twice.
